Thank you for getting your new tattoo. Now it’s time to take care of it so it will look great for years to come!

Your new tattoo has been bandaged and should remain that way for at least 4 hrs.

Wash your hands before touching your tattoo. If you need someone to help you, have them wash their hands.

When you take off the bandage you'll see blood and ooze. That ooze (plasma) is your body trying to form a scab.

For the first 3 days wash your tattoo 3-4 times daily using only soap, water and your fingers to remove all ooze. No washcloths or loofahs. Pat your tattoo dry with a clean towel and allow it to air dry for 15 minutes. Then apply a minimal amount of AQUAPHOR ointment to cover the tattoo in a light layer (completely rubbed in). The ointment keeps the ooze in a moist state so that you may remove it easily with washing.

Once your tattoo begins to peel switch to a fragrance free lotion. Apply as needed until fully healed.

For up to 2 weeks do not submerge your tattoo in water (baths, pools, hot tubs, lakes, etc.). Avoid tanning and direct sunlight.

After it's healed use sunscreen to protect your new tattoo.
